| As you might have guessed my
hobby is fishing. If you are looking for something to get you out of the house or office
and away from the computer screen for a while---then give fishing a try. You don't even
have to keep the fish, and you shouldn't unless you intend to eat them. Just catch and
release them to live and grow larger, possibly for a future encounter. |

You don't need a fifty thousand
dollar bass boat or even a boat at all. I personally prefer an antique 1963 Boston
Whaler. Purchased for only a few hundred dollars, it has returned countless hours
of economical fishing and cruising pleasure. There is something to be said for old boats
without all the modern gizmos. Sitting on a wooden bench seat that is 40+ years old reminds
me of a simple-low tech past. If that mahogany could talk--- the stories it could tell. |
Fly
fishing has become increasingly popular in Central Texas. You don't really need a
boat for that. A canoe or float tube will do - or just go wading right in... |
